Australian Blackwood is a fantastic tone wood with similar visual features like its distant cousin, Acacia Koa. Australian Blackwood is slightly lighter in colour than Koa but Australian Blackwood's figure still has a three dimensional quality. Australian Blackwood has the warm, woody tones of Mahogany and the clarity of Rosewood.  Australian Blackwood is a great choice for either the finger style or lead guitarist.

Cocobolo gives smooth warm response ,It is fine textured and oily in look and feel, and stands up well to repeated handling and exposure to water.  Cocobolo is also extraordinarily dense, and even a large block of the wood will produce a clear musical tone if struck.
